Students learn the complete accounting cycle for both a proprietorship and a partnership, analyzing transactions into debits and credits, posting to general ledgers, cash control systems, worksheets, balance sheets, income statements (AKA: Profit and Loss Statements), preparing payroll, payroll taxes and reporting, plus working with special journals.
Anyone age 16 or older may enroll in a short-term class on a first-come, first-served basis. Certain restrictions may apply. Costs shown are tuition only. Book/supply costs and special testing fees are not included in the tuition cost. Enrollment is taken by the Adult Education/ACD staff Monday through Thursday from 8AM-9:30PM and Friday from 8AM-4PM.

Principles of Accounting
This course teaches the essential skills needed to organize and operate a small business efficiently. Topics in this course include, but are not limited to, communication skills, customer service, Microsoft Office Suite, principals of accounting, and information on establishing a Limited Liability Company (LLC).
