PHLEBOTOMY 

DESCRIPTION

Phlebotomists obtain and prepare blood samples for physicians to analyze. Learn proper techniques of blood sample collection, gain knowledge of the circulatory system, awareness of medical/legal ethics, and communicate as a member of a healthcare team. Phlebotomy includes 40 clinical hours to be arranged by ACD staff and instructor.

Anyone age 18 or older may enroll in a short-term class on a first-come, first-served basis. Certain regulations may apply. Enrollment is taken by the Adult Education/ACD staff Monday through Thursday from 8AM-9:30PM.
