This course offers the history and basic fundamentals of programmable logic controllers and its importance for today’s industrial maintenance technicians. The Allen Bradley SLC Platform course provides theory and lab class training in the use and real-world equipment and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). With the use of Hands-on labs, the students will learn how to design, troubleshoot, modify or simply add code to an actual system. Labs will consist of over 15 different scenarios at different difficulty levels that will help prepare students for work site utilization.
This course offers the continuity of the fundamentals of programmable logic controllers and its importance for today’s industrial maintenance technicians’ knowledge. The ControlLogix Platform and its systems course provides training in the use and programming of ControlLogix Programmable Logic Controllers, or PLCs. The course will also instruct the students in using the RSLogix software and RSLinx used to control the ControlLogix PLCs.
Variable frequency drives (VFDs) are a type of motor drive used in electromechanical systems.
This course introduces you to VFDs and their applications in industrial plants. Through hands-on exercises and scenarios you will learn how VFDs control AC motor speed and torque by varying motor input frequency and control associated voltage or current variation.
