POSITION: Career Exploration Instructor
LOCATION: Cleveland Middle School – Cleveland, OK
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Instructor will develop, plan, coordinate, and deliver curriculum that provides middle school students with the knowledge and technical skills application within various career clusters.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Partner School Extension
SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have good interpersonal relationship skills and utilize good verbal and written communication. Be able to develop or modify curriculum to meet requirements for Central Tech’s middle school career exploration classes. Have knowledge of the nationally recognized career clusters for career and technology education. Must be a good role model with strong classroom management skills.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three to five years of successful teaching experience preferred in grades 6th – 8th.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree; middle school teaching certificate preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENT: Demonstrate the knowledge of effective teaching practices and classroom management strategies for middle school learners within partner schools in the Central Tech district. Ability to design and deliver engaging instructional experiences, including cooperative learning, hands-on activities, and project-based learning to support student career exploration and the development/application of workforce-ready skills. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
STARTING DATE: August 3, 2026
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10- month contract – Certified/Exempt
