Central Tech received the Gold Star of Excellence Award for the 24th consecutive year at the Annual Oklahoma Association of Career and Technical Education summer conference in Tulsa, August 4-5, 2014. Central Tech has earned this award more than any other technology center in Oklahoma, having received the award every year since inception in 1990.

 

For 45 years, Central Tech has been committed to achieving success by being a leader in technical education and workforce development. Central Tech achieves this daily by providing technical education to empower individuals and to elevate the workforce.

 

This year, Central Tech placed more than 93% of completing students from 126 offered career majors in related careers or continuing education.

 

Central Tech strives for excellence and believes in providing a positive learning environment and elevating the worth of all individuals. This is evident with 100% pass rates in the following: the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology, National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing, National Registry of Medical Assistants, National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, Network Security Administration Microsoft Certified Professional, and National Registry of Phlebotomists.

 

Central Tech is a career and technical training center with campuses in Drumright and Sapulpa. Central Tech offers hundreds of career choices in either full-time or short-term courses, with certifications and licensure available in most areas of study. Central Tech also offers assistance to area businesses with safety training, business development and more.

 

In 2014 Central Tech had nearly 29,000 student enrollments through full-time, short-term, and business and industry classes.

 

Students who completed full-time technical training at Central Tech last year earned more than $21 million combined in annual salaries with an average entry level salary of $32,287.

 

These statistics and others help prove there is a demand for highly trained skilled workers and that Central Tech produces students who qualify for high wage and high demand jobs.
