Crochet 101
In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the foundational skills essential for any crochet project. We’ll begin by demystifying your materials, exploring the differences between various hook types and sizes, and learning how to choose the right yarn varieties for your projects. You will then be guided step-by-step through several core techniques including the slip knot, chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and how to read a basic pattern.
Our practical goal is a stylish, functional granny square bag. You’ll learn to create the iconic granny square motif, a foundational skill that unlocks countless other projects. By the end of the course, you will have completed a bag you can proudly carry, along with the knowledge to tackle scarves, blankets, and more.
