Photography – The Basics is a 5-week course where we will focus on learning and understanding your camera and other photography equipment like lenses and speedlights.
This course is directed towards beginners who want to gain the skills to use their equipment proficiently. You will learn the exposure triangle (how your aperture, shutter speed, and ISO work together) to create a correct manual exposure. A DSLR camera is preferred.
After completing this 5-week class you will have the knowledge and skills necessary to be able to confidently take part in other Central Tech photography classes.
During the summer class of Photography – The Great Outdoors we will head out to different locations to take photos. Each location we visit will have a new assignment and handout with information on which camera settings to use. Some of the topics we will cover include:

Photography – Landscapes is a 5-week landscape photography class. We will focus on creating compelling landscape photos.
We will explore outdoor locations, concentrate on composition, and learn how to edit photos on the computer. In addition, you will learn techniques like HDR (high-dynamic-range) and photomerge panorama (Brenizer Method).
Would you like to communicate with the hearing impaired? Part one is an introduction to American Sign Language (ASL). You will be introduced to the manual sign alphabet, basic signs, phrases, and word combinations.
