Intro to Nursing

This course focuses on the use of nursing-related theories by practical nurses as care providers and health team members. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of:

  • changing health care delivery systems
  • communication in nursing
  • health promotion
  • human development
  • learning
  • nursing ethics and law
  • professionalism
  • teamwork

This class will earn you credit and points for entry into Central Tech’s Practical Nursing program. Optional American Heart Association/CPR Basic Life Support offered during the course for $30 for a two-year certification.
